Chalk paint sets the tone
Another striking detail are the walls and floors. Whereas many houses in Curaçao have white walls, here different powdered shades of chalk paint have been chosen. Each room has its own color. To maintain unity, the air conditioners are painted along. The same unity can be seen in the concrete floors. Using a relatively new technique, they were sanded after pouring so that the sand in the concrete comes to the surface. The floors have been worked so that they are completely smooth and easy to maintain. The whole evokes a warm and homely feeling.
