Skywood, which is intense enjoyment at the highest level
For this comfortable penthouse, we go to Cavalese. A medieval mountain town in the Val di Fiemme: a wide valley with relatively many hours of sunshine. Those who love skiing, hiking and clean mountain air are right at home here.
Skywood is executed in chalet style 2.0, respecting the authentic building tradition of the region. A harmonious composition of contemporary design and warm homeliness. Delightful to stay there by yourself. And with room for eight, you can feel free to invite friends or family. Will you be away for a while? Skywood has proven itself to be "rentable well.
Quality & safety
Quality, living comfort and safety were always at the center of Skywood's furnishings. The best materials in the hands of inspired craftsmen, thus perfection to the last detail was created. Application throughout the apartment of the same natural materials - honest oak and natural stone - and color combinations bring unity and tranquility. And everywhere we see a high ceiling with a sturdy beam construction. By the way, all rooms have individually controllable floor heating.
Entry with allure
Built in 2021, the complex meets the highest standards for sustainability, energy efficiency and safety. Of the nine apartments, the penthouse is by far the largest. From the common central hall with loft, the robust wooden roof construction is visible: what a welcome! Skywood has a private elevator to the fifth and highest floor, but is also accessible by stairs.
Kitchen & living
The very complete sleek designer kitchen has been given space. There is a generous cooking/sink island. A stylish wall unit integrates the sophisticated appliances. A modest but nice balcony is accessed from the open kitchen. The adjacent dining area is arranged before the wide sliding glass doors that connect to the main balcony. The eye-catcher is the fire pit: a wall constructed of flat natural stones with a beautiful infrared designer fireplace. The tasteful seating area near the dining area also has a balcony. Glass panes bring in the surrounding mountain world.
Sleeping & bathing
Three of the four spacious bedrooms have en-suite luxury bathrooms. In all rooms we see a fixed closet wall (handcrafted customization). The stylish bathrooms feature a wide designer washbasin topped with two beautifully designed basins, a walk-in shower, a toilet and a bidet. The master bedroom at the rear features a balcony with mountain views.
Each facade its own balcony
Living on the top floor, you can expect magnificent views. Skywood has four balconies. A cup of coffee in the morning sun, après-ski enjoyment in the (late) afternoon sun or just the need for shade when it summers? Take your pick... The spacious and sunny covered balcony (almost 14m2) at the front overlooks Cavalese and offers a wonderful mountain panorama. With snowy ski slopes in winter and in summer a green palette of mountain meadows and forests below the peaks of Alpe Cermis. So this never gets boring... With the electrically operated shutters on the front you create light on demand. Windows in the three remaining facades have electric screens.
And beyond that...
The penthouse has a separate toilet room. Furthermore, there is a separate room for the washer and dryer. Very practical is also a heated depot for ski equipment.
Parking
Skywood includes one private parking space at the complex. Across the street, in a square closed with electrically operated barriers, are two more private parking spaces. Also located here is the access to the parking space under the market square. Where there is also a garage box belongs to the penthouse, possibly to be used as storage space.
CAVALESE & SURROUNDINGS
Cavalese: medieval & contemporary
As if time has stood still there, but not really. Because behind the historical backdrop, the mountain town is absolutely up to date. For the daily necessities of life you can go perfectly well in Cavalese. From supermarket and (local) specialty store to doctor, pharmacy and basic hospital, it is there. Just like a swimming pool, ice rink and (in the vicinity) a perfect golf course. Do not expect a vibrant nightlife, but do expect cozy restaurants. And in the advent season Cavalese is shrouded in fairy lights.
Winter and summer paradise...
The Dolomites have real winters and blissful summers. Alpe Cermis, Cavalese's home ski area, includes some 24 kilometers of superbly groomed slopes, popular with semi-advanced skiers. Top-level slopes can be found in neighboring ski areas. In the Fiemme Valley stretch many kilometers of cross-country ski trails. In short: a winter sports paradise. Not for nothing are the Dolomites together with Milan the beating heart of the Winter Olympics 2026. For years the international ski circus has measured its strength there. Like no other Italians understand the art of preparing the best ski slopes.
Elevators in Cavalese and surrounding areas take you to great heights in summer with magnificent hiking trails, idyllic lakes, mountain huts (good food & good wine...), breathtaking views. With their iconic peaks, the Dolomites are on Unesco's World Heritage List. What beauty, and especially in the warm red glow of the setting sun. In summer, you can make the most fun day trips, even with the family. Most destinations - art, culture, nature - can be reached within an hour. Milan, Venice and Lake Garda can also be done in a day.
